for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders
Thursday, November 29th, 7pm

Ever wonder what's inside your video game controller or alarm clock? Come Take It Apart! Kids will have a chance to see how things work and use their hands to explore items they use and see every day. We will have engineering experts circulating to help us find the hidden treasures inside. All participants are entered into our raffle for cool STEAM-themed prizes.

What to Bring to the Event:

--A parent or guardian
--A take apart item. Any old mechanical-type small appliances and electronic items. Old VCRs, phones, printers, fax machines, CD players, remote controlled toys are great. They won’t be put back together, so don’t bring anything you are still using. If you don’t have an item, please contact Amy Mischenko, amymischenko@me.com. We have a few things available on a first-come basis.
--Tools. Please take a look at your device. Commonly used tools are Phillips and flat head screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, allen wrenches, etc. There will be some tools available to share at the event.
--Adult-sized safety goggles. The PTA will provide child-sized safety goggles for each child.

Please register for this FREE by Monday, November 26th so we can be sure we have enough supplies and snacks for all.

Regretfully, no younger siblings may join us for safety purposes.
